Secondary Public Speaking Competition

The 2020 Public Speaking competition took on a very different look this year. Like its sister competition YouDebate, this competition took to the online world of Zoom.

Ibrahim Dellal Campus entered one year nine student into this event. Aurpi Chowdhury who chose mental health as a topic. She spoke with passion and poise about the stigma attached to mental health and what needs to be done to break down these silent walls that impact so many. Her commitment to this competition and representing our college in the best way possible was something to behold. She spoke with care and compassion on such a delicate and sensitive topic, yet was firm in her resolve about what needed to be done to improve things. The panel of adjudicators were very much impressed by Aurpi. Their feedback was glowing and I am proud to say that Aurpi placed as the runner up for the entire Public Speaking competition. Congratulations Aurpi.
